Last Tuesday, I cleared a day of my annual leave to spend some time with wifey.
We started the day relatively early and had our breakfast at Breko. We were initially contemplating Provence and Coffee Bean too but Breko got our final vote.
Wifey had salmon brekmuffin while I had brekkie in a pan.
It was a good time of chatting at the cafe while enjoying our meal in a quiet and peaceful environment.
I always have a soft spot for Holland V, especially in the morning as it reminds me of my childhood when I will often walk over with my neighbours without my parents’ knowledge to buy NBA cards and soccer magazines!! Ha-ha..
After breakfast, we took the train (thank God for circle line) to Telok Blangah and another bus in to SAFRA Mt Faber , our favourite hangout place. Wifey and myself often spent our free days here because of the nice swimming pool. This time round, we tried their wii room for the very first time. It was a fun time indeed playing games like bowling, tennis, boxing, racing together.
Wifey was particularly excited when she played the Mario Cart Racing game, letting out shrieks whenever her vehicle goes off the road.... so funny.
We spent close to 4 hours in the room, trying almost all the games in the box before feeling rather cold and hungry. So, we returned the set and went over to the opposite coffee shop to have our “tea break” we shared a plate of seafood bee hoon, a basket of ribs and dumplings from the Timsum stall.
After our meal, we went back to SAFRA for our swim and then headed home after that. Tired but happy with the time spent together.
