S.E.A Aquarium Outing

Tuesday was our off day as we have planned to visit S.E.A Aquarium. Thanks to Mike’s free tickets

Started the day by going earlier to Harbourfront’s Ya Kun for our comfort breakfast.

After breakfast, we walked around Vivocity as we were still early and at about 1230pm, we took the rail into Sentosa
We linked up with mom and sis’s family shortly and proceeded into the Maritime Museum and S.E.A Aquarium.

It was a beautiful place but it was surprisingly very crowded on that day. As a result, we had to squeeze with the crowd in order to look at the tanks...

One of the station actually allow the visitors to touch the sea creatures like starfish, sea cucumber and fishes. That is rather interesting but then again the queue was long..

Then there is also this Typhoon Theatre which is screened a 4D movie about a man’s sea journey. We were “hit” with cold air, vibrating seats and sprinkles of water . It was soooo cold. Hehe...

We spent close to 5 hours in the aquarium before leaving for dinner at HBF foodcourt. Overall, It was quite a nice family outing , too bad dad was busy at work so could not join in the fun.

Birthday Memories

Last Sunday was a very special woman’s birthday.

So I brought her for dinner at Ma Maison @ Central. We shared a Mentaiko Spaghetti, burger, Scallop Carpaccio and a Pear Tart.

They also gave her a complimentary brownie with ice cream.

Although this year’s celebration was relatively muted due to the hazy weather and with me being sick for quite some time, we appreciate just to be able to just have each other’s presence in our life.

Darling, Blessed Birthday. Thank God for placing you in my life, you are so very special to me, May the Lord keep you healthy and grant you the desires of your heart... Love you very much!

Oh Whatever Makes Her Happy... On a Saturday Night...

Yesterday, my window lock broke as I was closing it after doing the chores. The sight brought both anger and panic. Anger because this is the nth time some parts of my window broke. Really bad quality material they used then... panic because I do not know if there is anyone able to fix it at that time and if its gonna cost alot and i cannot just leave it as it is as its facing the corridoor.
Looking at the joint it was actually rivet in so I do not even have the necessary tools/skills to fix it on my own. So upon wifey's suggestion, managed to contact Uncle Ah Seng who arrived an hour later to solve my problems.. phew. Thank God also that the hardware shop I went to sells exactly 4 right sided lock which is just enough to change for the whole house, although i need to travel 2 trips for that. Uncle Ah Seng is a nice repairman who tried his best to fix the mess at a low cost.
So, after my windows have been fixed properly, we washed up and went for an early dinner at Seah Inn, to have wifey's favourite fish soup. After dinner, we went to Vivocity to shop. To my horror, I found that pair of Sperry shoes that i bought selling for only $109 there and they do have size 8...Man, should have waited a while more. Never thought Queensway will be selling more expensive shoes than Vivo. Oh, and our failed attempt to transfer ownership of our mobile plans because wifey still owed Starhub $51 which we are absolutely unaware of and the change of ownership cost $40 too. So think we need more time to weigh the cost benefits. We also shopped at Esprit and Crocs hoping to get something for wifey's birthday but there are nothing interesting in Esprit while Crocs shoes are rather pricey. Wifey then bought a pair of brown and black top from Uniqlo. We also saw a choo choo train for kids outside Vivo... it looks quite interesting and we wondered what is the route that it takes..hmm....
After walking for quite some time, we went for desserts! Decided to try Saint Marc for the first time. I have natural obvious affinity to this cafe and i must say their much touted Little Fuji did not disappoint at all. It was a hot buttery danish, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Really yummylicious especially with a cup of latte ;o) Good choice

Took some pictures of the cafe, dark brown and orange goes very well together indeed.

After having our desserts, we decided to head home to rest our tired feet. Along the way, we went into Timberland and wifey found a staff who may just be able to solve her mouldy shoes problem. We shall see...
Today, Abel joined us for service after a month long hiatus. Great to see him back! and he looks happy to be back. May God continue to bring healing. After the service, we all prayed together with Pastor Jeff and Aung Leng than drove him back together with us. After sending Abel home, we went for a simple lunch of prawn noodles nearby.

Ok I am gonna stop now and have dinner and watch The Zoo Keeper.

Dinner @ Itochu

Last Saturday, I bought myself a pair of Sperry shoes. It shall be my Birthday present from wifey. I have been looking for this for quite some time but many locations do not have my size so I was happy to be able to found the right one from Queensway. It cost $125 after 10% discount. I wish it were cheaper but well... they can’t go any lower so I will just have to hope it can last me through the years.

At night, wifey and myself went to Star Vista for our dinner. It seems like quite some time since we have a proper dinner date so we just want to relax and spend some time with each other. Weather was cooling which was good and we had a pre dinner snack which was a piping hot custard cake which is selling at a dollar each. It smell so nice and tasted just as good.

We walked a bit and finally decided to try Itochu. Our first time eating there. They have quite an interesting menu but is pricier than normal sushi restaurants like Sakae or ichiban and most of their sushi comes individually instead of a pair.

cant seem to rotate this picture.. oh well..

This is what we ate

Wifey enjoyed the food there and I am very glad that she did. She especially like the Roasted squid leg sushi... really good and we ordered twice!. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner at a nice location which is near our house. After dinner, we were too full to have desserts as originally planned so we took a bus home to rest.

On Sunday, we went for service and after that wifey, myself, Darren and Faith visited Abel at his sister’s place at Havelock Road. We also presented him with the encouragement board. We hope that our presence and the encouragement board has lifted his spirit on a very warm Sunday afternoon.

Abel , 我们为你加油,为你祈祷
