Exercise Bike for Wifey

This nice pink exercise bike is wifey’s birthday present this year.

I got it from Qoo10 for $139 ($142 after $3 delivery fee for after 7pm on weeknight) after reading many of its reviews and ensuring that it will be worth the price.

It was delivered within a week and the actual thing looks good indeed. Very much like what has been advertised.

I am pleased with this purchase so far.

Wifey loves it and I hope that she will make full use of it to help her keep fit ;o)

How to Train Your Dragons 2

Last Saturday, we brought Gigi to catch a movie “How to Train Your Dragons 2” at Plaza Singapura together with wifey’s colleague Angela.

We do not need to pay for our tickets because it was a wifey’s company’s event.

We reached early to collect our tickets and took a picture together with Hiccup and Toothless.

We then went for breakfast at the food court.
HTTYD2 is a very enjoyable show and It has to be one of the best cartoon I have watched.

Good storyline with beautiful graphics.

After the movie, we went to eat Macdonald’s. Wifey and I both had the world cup special set while we got a fish burger and ice cream for Gi.

We then walked a bit more and took some more pics before heading home

It was fun to bring her out. She is reeeaaally cute.

Fields of Dreams

I have playing evening soccer at Tiong Bahru Park for the past couple of weeks

I like playing there because I find it very challenging to play with those skilful and passionate uncles and youngsters.

Even though the field tends to be congested and not in the best of condition, I am very happy just running about and pitting myself with the rest.

Simply stepping onto the green grass gives me a sense of immense freedom, and I realised that I am most confident about myself when I am on the pitch, I can express myself easily with my feet.

Being up against stronger and bigger sized players trains me to be more courageous.

Getting toe to toe and speeding alongside youngsters reminds me again not to give up easily.

Being shouted at for losing the ball carelessly makes me humble and learn to be alert to my surroundings and

Being Outwitted by the opponents with a slick movement or pass makes motivates me to always think steps ahead.

I thank God for this opportunity to play competitively during some weekends where I can keep myself physically fit.

I always ended the game unable to see the ball anymore at 730pm, quite tired but very satisfied.

That Which Refills Our Tanks

On Monday, wifey and I took leave to rest (after 2 days of Acts Conference)

We went to Breko Café at Holland Village to have our breakfast. I ordered their signature set while wifey had Salmon brekmuffin.

It was a quiet and cosy time as we just enjoy each other’s company as we ate, chat and share our thoughts and feelings over various matters.

I think we spent close to 3 hours there but it certainly didn’t feel like that long.

I thank God that we have so many things to say to each other, and I thank God that we can refill each
other’s tank by spending time together.

After breakfast, we walked a bit more at Guardian to use up my voucher and then decided on a whim to go grocery shopping at Bishan junction 8.

Thank God for circle line and for the fact that we can be so comfortably random together, doing things spontaneously.

It was a great day, indeed. Very refreshed.

Marshmallows are A-sprouting Out of Trees

Last weekend was a fruitful one for me and wifey.

Did my vacuum and mopped the house, followed by chicken rice lunch at the market and then back home to replace my disintegrated toilet spray tap.

After finishing the chores, I decided to give wifey a pleasant surprise.

So, I brought her to a whimsy little café situated at the lazy neighbourhood of Telok Blangah.

As the name suggested, marshmallows are the stars of the shop and they appear quite frequently at every corner.

Wifey simply fell in love with the design of the shop and we took quite a number of pictures there, naturally.

I had a cup of rose syrup lemon tea while wifey had a latte. We also shared a plate of waffles with double scoop ice cream (chocolate and peanut).

It taste good and the price is very reasonable too.

we spent about an hour or so there before heading to vivocity.

At vivo, we shopped at Daiso because we wanted to get the fake grass patch to decorate our house. Too bad we couldn’t find it there but we bought some other household items like mats, floor sticker which I can use to cover up those ugly chipped off parts, cute sponges and a tool box for the inspired handy man.

We also strolled along the Boardwalk to look at the flea market before realising that we were famished…

We went to Harbourfront foodcourt wanting to find dinner but the stalls were all closing so we ate Yoshinoya instead. A nice meal to conclude an enjoyable day.

Addidas Sale!

On Wednesday, wifey and I went for an addidas sale at Novena.

Mike gave us a 40% voucher which can be used on top of those discounted items.

It was a chaotic crowd on that day but I am glad to be able to get my soccer boots… finally.

It is a pair of nitrocharge grade III and I paid less than $50 for it. I think they look really cool. I hope this pair will last for a long time.

Wifey also got for herself 4 tops and a jacket.

After that, we went for dinner at the freezing food court and headed home.
