Jesus Anointed by a Sinful Woman Luke 7:36-39

When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.  A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume.  As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

what can i fill myself up with, which can be poured out as a blessing ?

Everybody Wants Kung Fu Fighting...

Last Friday, I dated wifey to Kungfu Tom Yum located at circular Road.

I’ve always wanted to try the place ever since I went pass it one day and saw the packed restaurant and the food smelt oh so nice.

We arrived about 7pm, way before my reservation timing but Thank God the staff managed to find a place for us and so we can start dinner earlier.

As the name suggested, that place is selling Thai Food (wifey’s favourite) and we had a choice of either eating steamboat or a-la-carte.

We chose the former and I would say it was quite an experience... using pork lard as oil, avoiding the splattering oil and making sure our BBQ doesn’t slip into the soup or get burnt... Phew.

It was a rather warm and congested place because it is modelled after those Thai road side stalls...the $38 set that we ordered consisted of a lot of well marinated pork, some prawns, scallops and fish cakes and also a plate of veggies, straw mushrooms and clear glass noodles The amount of food was just enough for 2 of us to share.

To add tom yum flavour to the soup , we also bought a pack of instant noodles to pour in, it makes the soup very saltish though...

After dinner, we just sat along boat quay to chit chat and enjoy the night breeze before strolling over to Fullerton and take a bus home.

It was a nice date with darling.

Welcoming Sebby

Last evening , we welcomed Sebby back by having dinner at Poh Kee at Tiong Bahru.

Star of the night - Sebby, not the toufu
We ordered their famous champagne ribs, homemade tofu and tom yum steam fish as well as kang kong, roast chicken and butter prawns and finished off with almond longan.

Although it was raining very heavily around us, It was a nice time of catching up with this dear friend who has been away for most part of the last decade. Total bill came up to $183 and it was well worth it.

After dinner, some of us proceeded to Two Face for a round of drinks before heading home.

Nice & Smoove...
